I am totally and completely in love with my new background stamp Nothing But Love. It could be on my top 10 list of favorites so far. It is such a simple design but adds such a fun touch and a whole lot of sentiment!
This card starts with a cream cardstock base. I wanted a soft layer next so I cut a piece of vellum slightly smaller than the card front.
I stamped the Nothing But Love background on a piece of white cardstock. I used an ink blending tool to add blue Distress Ink around the edges of the cardstock. I applied it heavier around the edge leaving it lighter in the center. I used a marker to color in and highlight one of the Loves.
I machine stitched around the edge of the stamped piece to “adhere” it to the card.
I cut a Prim Heart from pink wool felt for the center. I attached it to the center of the card and machine stitched a big X through the heart. I did this to “attach” and to add a little subtle interest.
I die cut lots of Bitty Posies from cream cardstock. I used an ink blending tool to brush them with assorted colors of Distress Inks. I used embossing powder to color the tops of brads for the centers of the flowers. I also added a bit of green embossing powder to a few of the ferns to give them a little texture.
I just had so much fun making the Bitty Posies that I piled on tons of them on. It brings up the question, can a card have too many Bitty Posies? I don’t think so!
