Happy Wednesday! I am checking in today with another quick and easy holiday card featuring one of my NEW winter holiday stamps. Today I am featuring the new Be Merry stamp. Last year my word for the year was “Be”. Each week I would try to focus on Be _____, filling in the blank with positive words like happy, enough, sunny, brave, and even merry! I sometimes made doodles to go with the weekly theme, which is where my stamp Be Sunny came from. I thought it would be fun to continue with including a Be stamp, so I present you with Be Merry.
To create this card, I layered the following pieces:
- Card Base: 11″ w x 5″ h, folded in half to create a top fold 5″ x 5 1/2″ card.
- Pattern Paper: 4 3/4″ w x 5 1/4″ h
- Stamped Image: 4 1/4″ w x 4 3/4″ h
I also added a strip of red seam binding and red and white backers twine around the pattern paper layer. I added a white seam binding bow along the left side of the card. I brushed the edges of each piece with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink using an ink blending tool.
For the stamped image, I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I colored the stamped image with assorted colors of Copic Markers. I added shimmer to the letters and holly leaves with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker. I added Glossy Accents to the berries.
Be sure to ask your favorite local or online store to see if they will be getting the collection. It is also available online in Spellbinder’s online shop. I will be back tomorrow with another project from the collection. I hope you will check it out!
