Hello friends, happy Thursday! I am so happy to report that my computer is back home and working great again. That means I can edit and share the pictures of the new projects I promised. First up today, a quick and easy card featuring my new Things I Love stamp.
This new stamp is so fun! It was inspired by my daughter Emma who has a serious love of Taco Tuesdays and cupcakes.
This card is a super simple one. After stamping the image on white cardstock, I colored it with markers (I used Copics, but you could use any brand you prefer).
I added a bit of shimmer to the cupcake, taco, and heart with a Tonic Aqua Shimmer Brush.
After cutting out the stamped image, I cut a card from cream cardstock slightly larger than the stamped image. I added a scrap of large polka dot paper, a strip of small polka dot paper and a yellow ribbon to the card under the stamped image. I added a quick line of machine stitching around the stamped image layer to add a little extra texture. I finished it off with a ribbon flag and a jumbo brad.
So super easy and fun. I think with a larger stamped image like this one, keeping the background super simple really lets the stamped image shine as the focus.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another project share featuring my new stencils. Be sure to come back and check it out.
