Happy Saturday! Today I am checking in with another sample from CHA to share with you. Today I have a card that features new dies from Tim Holtz Sizzix.
The base of the card is plain white cardstock base. I cut a piece of Wallflower pattern paper over the front of the card.
I die cut a piece of manila cardstock with the new Tim Holtz Mixed Media die. I colored the die cut with Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass, and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks.
I tore the manila at an angle along the die design. I adhered the die cut to the front of the card along the top, side, and bottom edges to create a side pocket with the die cut. I machine stitched around the top, bottom, and sides of the card front.
I adhered a piece of gold Deco Sheet on a piece of manila cardstock. I die cut the assembled piece with a small tag die from the Tim Holtz Tag Collection set of dies. I inked the edges of the tag with Mushroom Alcohol Ink. I added a Flash Card and Small Talk sticker to the front of the tag. I sewed through them to adhered the pieces together.
I edge died a scrap of Crinkle Ribbon with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and water and added it to the end or the tag. I adhered the assembled tag piece to the front of the card.
I die cut and embossed two of the same butterflies from manila cardstock using the new Tim Holtz Butterfly Duo die. I inked both butterflies with Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. After drying the inks, I misted them both with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist. After blotting and drying the mist, I skimmed over the raised areas with Distress Embossing Ink. I sprinkled clear embossing powder onto the butterflies. I melted the powder with a heat tool.
I layered the two butterflies together, bending the wings of the top butterfly upward.
I adhered the assembled butterflies to the front of the card. To finish off, I added a piece of Emporium Ephemera to the front of the card inside the pocket behind the butterfly.
I love how soft and feminine this card is. The pocket on the front could hold a gift card or bookmark too!
